The last 6-8 months have had downtime almost every week, mail server issues *including loss of email*, their DB servers have been snail slow from day one, and now this shit! I've now moved all my hosting to MediaTemple and have not had a problem since - they even have an uptime guarantee. I still have about 20 domain names hosted by DH though, only because MT doesn't provide private whois records. If I find a comparable DNS host, I'm gone. 1&1 might be the go for DNS, altho I need to confirm they send proxy email. I'd look at SliceHost but I've already moved and I don't want to do it again. My decision is to treat this as business as usual. I am going to continue to do what I have always done with my web hosting account with DreamHost. I use less than 1% of my current allocation of bandwidth/space at the moment, but I think I shall start downloading and distributing a large amount of ISO images so that my normal activity becomes insignificant.
